On December 28, 2018, Sheriff’s Office narcotics detectives with the Multi County Narcotics and Violent Crimes Enforcement Unit received information two residences along the 3400 block of Creek Road, in Lincoln County, were involved in drug activity.
Two detectives approached one of the home’s to hear a woman screaming, “Help me.” Detectives knocked on the door, which was violently opened by 52-year-old Thomas Brookshier. The woman pleaded for help then Brookshier slammed the front door and locked it.
Knowing Brookshier had active felony warrants, detectives made entry into the home. While in the home, Brookshier lunged toward a detective and they wrestled for several minutes until he and another detective subdued Brookshier. The woman, complained of a broken rib and looked to have a severe injury to her shoulder.
Detectives seized methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and marijuana from the home.
Detectives also arrested two neighbors, 40-year-old Brandy Ray, of Lincoln County and 35-year-old Amber Brazell, of Lincoln County, for possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and marijuana. Ray told detectives they were selling methamphetamine out of their residence daily.
Thomas Brookshier is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Domestic Assault 3Rd Degree, Resisting with a Felony Arrest and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Brookshier is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail under a $5,000 or 10% surety bond. Other conditions of bond may apply.
Brandy Ray is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail under a $20,000 cash only bond. Other Conditions of bond may apply.
Amber Brazell is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (with Prior Drug Offense) and is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail under a $1,500 cash or surety bond. Other Conditions of bond may apply.
