On March 8, 2018, deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 6400 block of East Rock Springs Road, in Lincoln County, for a robbery. The victim told the emergency dispatcher the suspect entered their home and held the victims at gun point. While there the suspect demanded a bill of sale for their 1999 Chevrolet Silverado truck.
A female, who accompanied the suspect, acted as a lookout outside the home.
After obtaining the bill of sale, and keys, the suspect had the female leave with the truck while he drove her SUV. Within minutes, deputies intercepted the suspects and took them into custody. Deputies identified the suspects as 24-year-old Daniel Alexander Jones, of Troy, and 39-year-old Misty Agler, of Warrenton.
Investigators recovered the handgun Jones used in the burglary which was stolen from a residence in Troy, MO, prior to the robbery. Other weapons were recovered from the SUV believed were earlier stolen.
Jones told investigators he could not recall the incident or specific details of his interaction but said the victim was probably correct. Jones apologized for his actions and said he consistently uses methamphetamine and haven’t slept in weeks.
Agler told investigators she waited outside the residence as Jones entered with a firearm. A short time later, Jones returned with the keys and she drove the truck off the property.
Jones is charged with felony First Degree Robbery and First Degree Burglary and is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail under a $100,000 cash only bond. Misty Agler is charged with felony Accessory First Degree Burglary and is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail under a $50,000 cash only bond. Other conditions of bond may apply.
