On Friday, June 28, detectives began investigating a fatal overdose in Lincoln County. During the course of the investigation, detectives learned the victim last spoke with 22-year-old Charles Foster, of Foley.

Detectives spoke with Foster at his residence. Foster said he and the victim went to a random location and met a random individual to obtain narcotics.  Investigators asked if Foster had any drugs on him, which he responded, “Yeah, there were one or two beans in my room.”  Beans are believed to contain Fentanyl.

Foster denied investigators consent to search his room so they applied and received a search warrant.  During the search of his room, detectives retrieved five capsules with two containing Fentanyl.

Foster was taken into custody.

Prosecutors charged Foster with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and he is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail.  Honorable Judge Jim Beck set bond at $50,000 cash only.  Other conditions of bond may apply.
