INMATES WORKING WITH LOCAL COMMUNITIES TO BOLSTER EARTHEN LEVEES

For the past two-days, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office volunteer inmates have worked diligently in both Foley and Elsberry filling sandbags for the anticipated flooding event.  Inmates worked along county many volunteers to help fortify the earthen levees along the Mississippi River.

According to the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Lincoln County will see major flooding over the next several days.  Please use caution traveling in and around Lincoln County as rivers are rising and do not cross roads with standing water.  Stay safe Lincoln County.
