On September 11, 2019, detective began investigating alleged child abuse of a male under the age of 18-years of age.  According to the victim, he was struck with a belt multiple times from his face to his waist.

Investigators observed deep welts, bruises and contusions on his body along with a closed wound at the base of the victim’s skull.  During a forensic interview, the victim disclosed on September 10, he went to 39-year-old Paul Albright’s residence along the 6000 block of Saddle Ridge Road, in Lincoln County.

According to the victim, Albright became upset with the victim because he had not repaid some money owed to a family member.  Albright told the victim to get into the living room of the home and began beating him with his rope belt.  The victim retreated to a bedroom where Albright showed up with a leather belt and continued to hit the victim several more times.

Albright admitted to investigators he hit the victim with two different belts.  Albright also admitted he punched the victim knocking the wind out of him.

Prosecutors charged Albright with two counts of felony Child Abuse and he is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail.  Honorable Judge Davis Ash set bond at $50,000 cash only with no contact with the victim. Other conditions of bond may apply.

Albright is currently on probation for domestic assault.
