On May 1, 2017, detectives with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a sexual offense of a female child less than 14-years-old. During a forensic interview, investigators learned 60-year-old Ted Leon Summers Sr., of Lincoln County, had sexual contact with a female under the age of 14-years-old several times between 2014 and 2015.
The crimes occurred along the 4000 block of Highway 47, in Lincoln County.
Detectives took Summers into custody and interviewed him. Summers denied the committing any sexual crimes.
Summers is charged with two counts of Felony Statutory Sodomy in the First Degree with a child under the age of 14-years-old and two-counts of Felony Child Molestation in the First Degree. Summers is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail under a $75,000 cash only bond with no contact with the victim, no unsupervised contact with persons under the age of 18-years-old and GPS monitoring upon release. Other conditions of bond may apply.
