LINCOLN COUNTY SEX OFFENDER CHARGED FOR FAILING TO REGISTER

In May 2017, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Compliance Unit began investigating 29-year-old, Jacob Whitchurch, of Troy, after detectives discovered he created and maintained a Facebook account, which he did not disclose to the Sheriff’s Office, as required by Missouri State Law.

In June of this year, Whitchurch failed to register by his 90-day registration date.

In September 2006, Whitchurch was convicted of Statutory Sodomy of a six-year-old female, in Lincoln County. In addition, he was found guilty of Failing to Register as a Sex Offender in February 2015.

Whitchurch is charged with two-counts of felony Failing to Register as a Sex Offender and is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail under a $10,000 cash only bond. Other conditions of bond may apply.
