In late December 2018, detectives with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a sex offense allegation of a female victim under the age of 12-years-old.  As a result of that investigation, detectives arrested and charged 42-year-old William Brandan, of Lincoln County, on January 17, 2019, with Statutory Sodomy.

Prior to the arrest of William Brandan, Missouri Department of Social Services Children’s Division responded to the 700 block of Highway J, in Lincoln County, and told William Brandan of the sexual offense allegations and advised he could no longer stay at the residence with the alleged victim.  Social Services also informed the victim’s mother, 31-year-old Shaina Brandan, of the allegations and said her brother Brandan could not remain in the home.

On January 17, 2019, the female victim underwent a child forensic interview.  During that interview, detectives learned Shaina allowed William Brandan to stay at the residence and during his stay he committed a sexual offense against the victim two-days prior to the interview.  Another child in the home witnessed William commit sexual acts on the victim.

Investigators took Shaina Brandan in custody.  Shaina refused to speak to investigators about the incident.

Shaina Brandan is charged with First Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child – Creating Substantial Risk and is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail under.  Honorable Judge James Beck set bond at $20,000 cash only and no contact with the victim.  Other conditions of bond may apply.
