Detectives with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office have successfully dismantled an organized burglary and theft operation in Lincoln and surrounding counties. During the last several months, Detectives have been investigating a surge of burglaries and property theft from Lincoln County residents.
Based on the information obtained during the investigation, eight search warrants and five consent searches were executed in Lincoln County. The searches led to six additional victims of stolen property and more unknown to date. To date, Lincoln County Detectives have recovered, approximately, $40,000 in stolen property, along with 18 victims.
Detectives expect additional arrests, charges and the identification of more victims in the coming weeks.
Nearly all of the stolen property has been returned to the rightful owner, or is pending release. The investigation also yielded various drugs, and drug paraphernalia, which has a direct link to the thefts.
Thirteen reported incidents of stealing and or burglaries, in Lincoln County, were solved this week. In addition, six unreported victims were discovered and encouraged to file a report to retrieve their stolen property.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office worked, collectively, with the St. Charles County Police Department, The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, The Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Police, and The Troy Police Department after Detectives recovered stolen property from their jurisdictions.
Five arrests were made in connection with this investigation.
James Dains, of St Louis, is currently charged with multiple counts of Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Burglary Tools and is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail under a $15,000 and $10,000 cash only bonds.
Amber Brazell, of Troy, is currently charged with Felony Burglary and is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail under a $15,000 cash only bond and no contact with the victim.
Elizabeth Paulsen, of Troy, is currently charged with Felony Burglary, Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail under a $10,000 cash only bond and no contact with the victim.
Jimmy Little, of St Louis, is currently charged with Felony Possession of Burglary Tools, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail under a $15,000 cash only bond.
Vivian Smith, of Perryville, is charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and posted a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
