PAIR OF HAWK POINT WOMEN CHARGED WITH METH

On Tuesday, narcotic investigators with the Multi County Narcotics and Violent Crimes Enforcement Unit received a narcotic tip for a residence along the 500 block of Walnut Street, in Hawk Point.

Residents in the home gave detectives consent to search the home where they found 56 grams of methamphetamine, syringes, glass smoking pipes, scales and micro-baggies used for the distribution of narcotics.

Detectives took 39-year-old Monica Deroy and 37-year-old Eileen Murphy, both of Hawk Point, into custody.  Both Deroy and Murphy have previous arrest histories involving narcotics.

Prosecutors charged Deroy with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail.  Honorable Judge James Beck set bond at $10,000 cash only.  Other conditions of bond may apply.

Prosecutors also charged Murphy with Second Degree Drug Trafficking and Keeping or Maintaining a Public Nuisance and is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail.  Honorable Judge James Beck set bond at $25,000 cash only.  Other conditions of bond may apply.

Prosecutors also charged Deroy with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail.  Honorable Judge James Beck set bond at $10,000 cash only.  Other conditions of bond may apply.
