On February 8, 2017, the Lincoln County Drug Task Force obtained a search warrant for a residence along the 400 block of West Third Street, in Moscow Mills, in reference to illegal narcotic activity.
Upon arriving at the residence, detectives observed and secured 20-year-old Robert Bertels and 21-year-old Vanessa Dickens, both of Moscow Mills, standing near a truck outside the home. As detectives announced themselves in the residence, they observed 21-year-old Blaine Erp, of Lincoln County, run behind a dresser drawer and discard a black object, which was later identified as a large boot knife.
Detectives patted Erp down due to his erratic behavior and found a small plastic bag containing a crystalized substance, which later tested positive as methamphetamine, a small bag of marijuana and two glass smoking devices.
While searching the bedroom of Bertels and Dickens, detectives located a digital scale with methamphetamine on the scale, a white plastic bottle of marijuana and several small empty zip lock bags sitting on night stand next to the bed.
All three were taken into the custody. Bertels and Dickens are charged with felony Delivery of a Controlled Substance and held in the Lincoln County Jail under a $25,000 cash only bond.
Erp who is currently out on bond for Receiving Stolen Property in October is charged with felony Delivery of a Control Substance and is held in the Lincoln County Jail under a $50,000 cash only bond.
