On March 22, 2016, the Lincoln County Drug Task Force received a community tip that drug activity was taking place along the 1200 block of Marigold Ct. in Troy.
Narcotic detectives received enough information to obtain a search warrant for the residence, which was executed that afternoon. Within the residence, detectives discovered methamphetamine and two sorts of drug paraphernalia commonly used to smoke and inject meth, within the master bedroom on a nightstand near the bed.
Detectives also discovered a syringe underneath the sink in the main bathroom where the kids’ toothbrushes were located. Two male juveniles ages 9 and 8, were place in protective custody and placed with a family member. Detectives arrested the homeowners, 31-year-old Katrina L. Maxson and her husband 32-year-old Christopher Maxson.
Detectives also found meth and heroin in the basement of the home. Both Katrina and Christopher told investigators they inject meth and know visitors regularly injected narcotics in the home’s basement, with the children present.
Both Katrina and Christopher Maxson are charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Drug Paraphernalia and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Both are currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail under a $15,000.00 cash only bond. Other conditions of bond may apply.
