WINFIELD SEX OFFENDER CHARGED WITH RAPE

Michael Weathers

On Thursday of last week, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office detectives began investing a sexual offense of a female victim under the age of 12-years-old along the first block of Darrell Drive, in Winfield.

During a forensic interview with the victim, detectives learned 44-year-old Michael Thomas Weathers, of Winfield, had raped the victim sometime during or after December 2017.

Investigators arrested Weathers and during his interview he denied having sexual intercourse with the victim but admitted to “good game” patting on her buttocks.

Weathers is a registered sex offender in Lincoln County. In August 2008, Weathers was convicted in Marion County of 2nd Degree Statutory Rape of a female under the age of 16-years-old. He was subsequently charged in Ralls County, for First Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child under the age of 15-years-old. Both charges required Weathers to register as a sex offender in Missouri.

Weathers is charged with Rape of a victim less than 12-years-old, two felony counts of First Degree Sodomy with the victim less than 12-years-old and is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail under a $250,000 cash only bond. Other conditions of bond may apply.
