Lincoln County Man Assaults Another With Machete

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Peaceful View Lane, in Foley, for an assault Sunday morning. The victim told deputies 35-year old Eugenio Jimenez, of Foley, started a confrontation with him about an incident that occurred two-years previous.

The victim said he was visiting a friend when Jimenez arrived at the residence and requested to speak with him. When the victim walked outside, Jimenez struck him several times in the face with his fist. Jimenez then returned to his vehicle and removed a machete and attempted to stab the victim with it.

Neighbors and the homeowner came to the victim’s aid.

Witnesses on scene said they saw Jimenez with a machete and he also threatened them with violence upon returning. Jimenez left the scene and was arrested a short time later at his girlfriend’s house along the 100 block of Country Hill Estates, in Foley.

Jimenez is currently housed at the Lincoln County Jail and has been charged with Felony Assault First. His bond is set at $75,000 cash only.
