Lincoln County Man Charged With Multiple Statutory Sexual Offenses

In June, Lincoln County Sheriff’s investigators began investigating 36 year-old James Joseph Campbell, of Farmington, Missouri, after receiving a complaint he sexually abused his stepdaughter over a 10 year span.

According to investigators, Campbell began sexually abusing his five year-old stepdaughter until she was 15.  The abuse occurred several times a week in a residence along the 100 block of Lisa Lane, and later in a residence along the 600 block of Aspen Drive, both of Old Monroe.

According the probable cause statement, Campbell would sign his stepdaughter out of school for the purpose of sex.

James Campbell is currently being charged with 11 counts of Statutory Sodomy and 3 counts of Statutory Rape.  He is currently incarcerated at the Farmington Department of Corrections after being found guilty of sexual abusing a child several years earlier in Lincoln County.
