Troy Man Charged For Stealing Car

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Chappell Hill Drive, in Troy, reference suspicious activity.  During the deputy’s neighborhood investigative patrol, he noticed around 30 vehicle were tampered with throughout the neighborhood.

A short time later, the deputy responded to the 600 block of Linns Mill Road, in Troy, for a stolen 2002 Dodge Durango.  While investigating the scene and speaking with neighbors the vehicle arrived back at the residence.

The suspect spotted the Lincoln County deputy and fled on foot.  The deputy pursued and took 21-year old, Beau Ford, of Troy, in custody a short distance later.  Ford was also wanted by other agencies for burglaries and failure to show for court.

Ford had a large amount of loose change, knives and a lottery ticket in his pockets.  One knife was identified by a resident off of Chappell Hill Drive.

Ford is currently housed at the Lincoln County Jail under a $15,000 or 10% cash only bond.
